IMAX Grand Opening Gala Part 2

So here are some more amazing pictures taken by Miville Photography of the IMAX Grand Opening Gala cake. We had a great time creating this cake. The Green Hornet car was the one figure that was created out of cake and covered in fondant and modeling chocolate. Optimus Prime was created out of rice cereal treat and lots of modeling chocolate. We lit him using blue LED battery operated lights. He stood over 14 inches tall. Like Optimus Prime, Hagrid and the Tron bike were also made of rice cereal treat and modeling chocolate. Both wheels of the Tron bike were lit with single white LED lights. Hagrid's lantern was also lit with a single white LED light. Spider-Man was hand painted on rice paper using food coloring as the paint. He was then attached to the screen. His arm and web are made of modeling chocolate. The film canisters that held the back side of the cake up were pumpkin spice cake with chocolate chips covered in fondant. The labels on the film canisters represent the movies of the figures featured on the front side of the cake. We put the original opening dates of the movies, the rating and where it played, the original Penn Cinema or the new IMAX theater. We would like to thank the owners and their family's of the IMAX for involving us in this great event. We are truly honored to have been a part of your Grand Opening Gala. We wish you the best of luck with the new IMAX theater. We would also like to give a special thank you to Penn and Aimee Ketchum for picking us and giving us this amazing opportunity. It was truly a pleasure working with you both.
